Flight Instructor Courses - Full courses for the award of the FI(A) certificate are available with prices starting at £9500 inc VAT.
Flight Instructor Certificate Renewal - If you have an expired rating HFTS can provide the training required to renew your Instructor certificate. You will be required to attend a Flight Instructor refresher seminar and also pass an FI assessment of competence, both of which can be provided. The amount of training required will vary depending on experience and time elapsed, but is delivered on a "train to competence" basis. Training costs start at £195/hour for flight training. Ground training is charged at £20 / hour.
FI Revalidation -If you have a current FI certificate and require a revalidation this can also be completed. The cost of an FI AoC is £280 plus aircraft hire. Aircraft hire is available from £175 /hour
Removal of Aerobatic Restriction - If you hold an FI certificate and would like to teach aerobatics I can provide the training required to remove the "no aerobatic instruction" restriction. The amount of training will depend on experience but for a competent aerobatic pilot this can be achieved in a single flight. The flight includes how to teach the basic 5 manoeuvres, common student errors and recovery techniques. The fee for this is £299.00 which includes aircraft hire (Robin 2160) and includes all ground briefings. (Aircraft shown is Sliingsby T67M260)
